“ I have been fortunate to visit Brecon twice recently and on both occasions I have purchased a portion of chips to eat whilst walking around the town. I have seen the beautiful "Fish & Chips" shop on many occasions whilst coming in the town on the bus! I popped in and I had a lovely friendly welcome from the Gentleman who I can only assume was the owner, he was really kind, polite and helpful (which is quite rare where I live in Swansea), it was a good old fashioned, old school welcome, which in itself was absolutely amazing! I just ordered a plain and simple portion of chips with the traditional Salt and Vinegar! What an absolute delight! Proper tasting chips, made with proper potatoes! (None of this Cash and Carry Frozen Bulk Buy Chips Here!). The chip's were proper potatoes that had been peeled, chopped and fried to perfect! Lovely Golden Outer and soft and fluffy inside! Piping hot too and a generous portion! And the price per portion was £1.20 cheaper than my local chip shop in Swansea! So if you are in Brecon and you like Perfectly cooked, old school chip's you definitely have to pay a visit to "Tad Cod" (brilliant name by the way, a play on word's of the Godfather!). I seriously haven't tasted chips like these since the late 1980s / early 1990s, they were....are absolute perfection! For me I would say that 10/10 doesn't do them justice! I am so glad that I had the chance to sample your beautiful chips and your warmth and kindness! I really can't recommend Tad Cod highly enough, but please don't take my word for it, just go on my recommendation and please try a portion for yourself! Surely, like me you will be in absolute chip "heaven" ”
